Why are people afraid to talk about Affirmative Action?

I was having a discussion about AA and it became a full blown argument because he did not believe it. AA is not always a good thing because people who aren't qualified and/or undeserving get priority. I think this mentality continues in society with jobs and schools, yet when I talk about it with others, they always get so angry and continue to deny it. Why?

It was put in place for a purpose and turned around by crafty liars, I mean lawyers for the good of self. There is no discussion, same as there is no discussion on the fourteenth amendment which was put in place for a purpose and turned into a profit circus for the good ole boys.
