Are women who remain single and without children generally happier than married women with children?

I know it is a huge generalisation but I'd like some opinions please. Surveys often indicate that the happiest people are married men and single women. For example, most divorces are initiated by women. Also, single women can now have a very satisfying single life, good career, travel and lots of friends plus independence from being pulled in all directions (not juggling children/job/husband).

The happiest ones are women who are happy with the decisions they've made whether that's single, childless or married with children.
