How should I dress for an interview to volunteer?

My interview is today, which was set up yesterday. I don't have nice clothes to wear, and because I'm disabled, I can only wear sneakers. I can't use any other kind of shoes. You think they'd understand that I can't have formal shoes...and that I don't have nice clothes other than some long sleeve american eagle shirt and jeans?
