How do you become an Ultrasound Technician?

Does anyone know how to become an ultrasound technician without completeing your general ed first? I am interested in going back to school for this, but I don't really want to spend 2 years doing general ed. I am looking more for a trade school or certificate program. Thanks.

There is no short cut - you have to either have a prior degree or general pre-req courses depending on the requirements of the program you're looking at. If you find a program that only requires gen ed courses first, that's the quickest route, and you could be done with those in less than a year... More

If you've taken most of the pre-requisites, then you shouldn't have to spend as much time trying to get one. The key is to talk to your counselor and see which ones apply so you have a better idea how much ultrasound technician schooling you have to do.
