I currently live in Speedway. It's a GREAT place to live. I grew up here, and just bought a house here myself 3 years ago. I would recommend staying north of the 465 loop. Carmel, Fishers, and Noblesville are all great areas with great schools and nice people. The cost of living is slightly higher, but worth it in my opinion. All 3 suburbs have a nice community feel. There are plenty of parks, festivals, and shopping.
