How to get hired at a retail/clothing store without experience?

I'm in need of a job & i would prefer one in retail. I'm 19, in college & have about 7 months experience total in restaurant & waitress positions. What is the best way to convince places like JC Pennies, Dillards, Best Buy or Shoe stores I deserve the job without any previous retail experience?

Honestly I think you are making a bigger deal of this then you should. These places know most of these jobs are entry level and understand they will have to train. If this is what you want just stay motivated and keep applying. Good luck :)
