Any suggestion on how to enjoy the taste of alcohol?

When I drink. It's to get drunk. Which is why I only do shots of vodka or something strong. I can tolerate the taste somewhat. It's just to get the job done. However, I don't get drunk often either and don't like taste of alcohol. I mostly want to acquire a taste for Beer and Wine because most of my family drink beer a lot when we have parties. I don't want to be that one weenie with water haha. They mostly drink Heineken (most popular in the country, not USA). I've drank it fine before, it is bearable, but I don't like the taste. So far, most beers taste the same to me. Some are just more watered down than others. Do I just keep drinking till I like it?

Back in the day, I didn't care much for beer, so I used to eat a small bag of salt & vinegar chips when out to the bar. Pair it with spicy and/or salty foods, you'll find it much more palatable.

To be honest, you do just keep drinking it until you like it. A better way is to buy a ton of single beers and try the different brands and styles, drinking a beer you like will make it easier to 'acquire' the taste of all beer.
