Why are Republicans always supporting ideas that will hurt America economically...but benefit the billionaires?

Cutting government spending during an economic downturn? Cutting more jobs during an economic downturn? Attacking labor? Handing over the commons to private corporations, for short term budget fixes and long term associated costs and budget problems? Preventing any increase in tax revenues which is needed to pay down the debt we've accumulated as a result of their prior unpaid for tax cuts? Calling for more low paying jobs, to replace the middle class jobs lost to republican supported deregulation? Who's side are they on?

Its no secret that they are heavily lobbied and receive funds to get them elected from big corporations. Also they have tv networks like Fox that are constantly condemning the current administration. They block any legislation to help the economy. The sad part is that members of the middle and poor class support them.
