Makeup artist from Germany come and work in USA?

I live in the states and Im planning on going back to Germany for school, to become a makeup artist, my question is has anybody done it? What do you need to do to be "certified" as a makeup artist here? I would get a certificate from finishing makeup school etc, do I need to get it translated and will it be recognized here? If anybody has, how hard was it for you to find a job here? Thank you! All help is awesome!
