What degree do I need to become an Investment Banker?
I'm in my first year of college and I know I want to go into something interesting in the business world. Investment banking seems very interesting to me, from what I know about it. Could someone please let me know what type of degree or major I would need to become a successful investment banker? Also maybe even describe what an investment banker is a little more?? Thanks!!

Not so sure that you really need a specific degree or not, but I would guess that a degree in finance would be ideal. Ask your professors. But I do believe you will have to pass various exams. See the following website... More

Academic background would not lead you to that path. It's the field you're involved in. In investment banking, there are all sorts of people with different backgrounds, engineers, IT professionals, physicists, biochemists, you name it.
