Should you hold out for a good job instead of taking any job to avoid employment gaps?
I want to work, but I don't want a job on my resume that a potential employer is going to look down on. On the other hand I don't want a large period of time of unemployment on my resume. Opinions? @malica- from call center/office work to minimum wage McDonald's type jobs. I guess part of my fear is that potential employers will see it as me just looking for a paycheck and not really caring about the company or that particular.

Are you talking about going from computer engineering to a job at McDonalds? Or just something similar to what you're already doing just not quite at the same level/caliber? As a manager I frown more upon those who have large gaps a lot more than those who take jobs which aren't a perfect fit for them or even a step... More

The only thing an employer "looks down on" is long time periods of unemployment. The longer you are unemployed the less likely they will offer you a job... More
