Did the middle class have factory jobs in the late 1800's?

If so, what were they producing? If not, what did the middle class have as jobs in the late 1800's? Can you find any pictures online?

Generally speaking, manual work in factories was considered a working class occupation. Middle class people would be likely to work in factories in management roles, or as clerical workers. Middle class women for instance would take clerical jobs in factories, but would regard doing manual labour as somewhat beneath... More
