How are nursing jobs in London UK?

Hi. I live in the California right now and i really want to live in LONDON just to live on my own and enjoy life (I'm 22 y/o). I'm a nurse and my salary here is really good. I was just wondering how different it is in London? Is the salary good or bad? Will I be in middle class or poor? I will live alone, if that information helps. Planning to rent a nice (average) looking apartment.

Unfortunately the previous post is incorrect. Nurses are no longer paid by grade. According to the Agenda for Change, all bands of NHS staff including nurses are now paid the same level of pay. A newly qualified nurse starts on the first pay point in band 5, which is currently £21,176... More

Have you visited London? To go there on a Holiday is nice - but to live there, is another matter. It costs a fortune if you live there. You'd have to take the public transportation if you need to go somewhere (gas too, is expensive).
