How can I afford braces?

I'm 18 and I live in California. I'm going to be paying for this out of my own pocket. I read some where that Delta Dental covers some of the cost in Cali for the traditional braces. True or false? Would applying for CareCredit be a bad idea? I have a job, but I start college this January on a limited scholarship :( so school on top on braces? ehhh... Suggestions? My parents aren't help me either. They've never been really financially stable so I'm doing everything on my own. I don't think my teeth are that bad. Just a gap and minimal misplace of my two front teeth.

I don't have the best coverage either, I live in SoCal. I am sure it covers some right? I ALSO have Care Credit for my wisdom teeth extractions. It gave us a... More
