How hard is it being a Aviation Machinist Mate in the Navy?

I'm currently in the Delayed Entry Program for the US Navy. I chose the rate AD (Aviation Machinist Mate). Honestly I have absolutely no hands on experience when it comes to mechanics, but really am interested in being an aircraft mechanic. And from what I've read, the rate I chose is all about aircraft engine mechanics. I've never owned a car, so I never was able to learn anything about engines that much. The reason why I qualified for this job was because I studied for the Asvab test and got a relatively good score. I'm just worried that I'll have a difficult time in A school since I have no basic experience in mechanics. So how hard will it be for me? Best answer will get 10 pts.
