Army Reserves RN question?
I'm interested in joining the reserves because I think it would be good experience and a cool way to serve. I was thinking reserves because I don't want to completely give up my civilian career. I am a critical care registered nurse with a BSN degree and more than a few years of experience. I am also planning to do grad school . I'm supposed to meet up with a recruiter this week, but my buddy is telling me not to bother because once I sign up for the reserve as an RN I will very quickly be pulled to active duty and deployed to wherever they feel like sending me since they are short on nursing personnel. Is this true?
