What is the best question to ask a potential employee in an interview?
I am interviewing for a technical field engineering role tomorrow. I have no worries about the candidates ability to learn the technical aspect of the job BUT there are two kinds of people I am trying to avoid; those do not do what they're asked and those who do nothing else. Lets see what you've got web. I've got a list laundry list of tried and true questions/techniques but candidates are very well prepared these days and a fresh, new question or test is always a good way to expose someones true character.

I had 2 good ones asked to me last time. One was, if your supervisor/superior asked you to do something that you knew was wrong , what would you do? Second was simply, of all the resumes Ive gotten, what stans you apart, why shoud I hire you?

If you can't figure these questions out then have someone else do the interviewing.
