How to deal with a sexist woman vp?

Any advice to a succesful, creative individual who is being held back for a couple years by a female vp in the marketing dept? Holding back from salary and opportunities within the department.. I can get work elsewhere but in the meanwhile, I'd like some help with this horrible situation... Thx I'm 34/m and am highly respected in the company.

In experience, that's the kind of situation that has little middle ground. You either play nice, in which case you will continue to not get treated fairly, or you make a case, either with HR, her boss or legally, which won't be pretty. Hello! Are you part of a labor union? Make sure to take notes of every inappropriate thing she does, and keep evidence.

There is a story I remember of a vp who was a female holding back a star female employee. After that female when to the competitor and over take the vp company. It is people personality, either live with it (and hate ur circumstance) or move on to better things.
