Why is the American taxpayer footing the bill for Obama's reelection campaign expenses?

Instead of the Democratic party? He travels the country campaigning then mentions his jobs bill to try to legitimize sticking the taxpayers with the bill. Patrick, can you show us how much the democrats have paid for travel expenses for the fleet of aircraft that Obama uses to haul him and his bus and limo around?

Did honestly expect him to flip his own bill? Look at all his vacations that used taxpayer money.

Taxpayers do not foot the bill for any campaign by any candidate. That is paid for by donations to the party.

For the same reason we paid for GWB43 re-election in 2004. Our country is still paying for that idiots disaster,

I think all setting Presidents take advantage of the system in this regard but, Obama really has abused his office more than any politician I can remember.

He's hardly campaigning. Republicans can't even field any kind of competition yet. Next.

Same reason we payed for the Obamas vacations while the rest of either worked through our vacations or stayed close to home for them. Because we let them get away with the fleecing of America

This is the way it is. Corruption doesn't have to be illegal to be corrupt. How many Reps & Senators campaign on the tax dollar welfare program transfer payments for local communities otherwise called "military installations"? Same thing. 'Vote for me! I'll keep Ft Zinzindorf open'!!

Admittedly, there is a fine line between a public appearance as a president and a public appearance as a candidate. But unless there is specific fundraising, or the speech is about Republican CANDIDATES, then you simply can't say that he's acting as a candidate... More

Yes..............I have been asking myself that same question. The DNC hasn't paid for any of his Jobs bill/campaign. The Democrat Senate has shut it down and he still touts his jobs bill. He has extremely abused his position in so many ways. It makes me sick when people on main street are hurting so badly.
