When the Democrats controlled both houses and the White House did they?

They decided the best thing they could do, was to jump start the economy, by shooting it in the foot with Obama Care, and then they broke out the national credit card, and decided to go on a spending spree. They spent, or borrowed and spent (almost make you miss the tax and spend dems), money on such high priority... More

They have not passed a budget in 3 years. Must be much easier to write checks.

They played "follow the leader" and voted "present" just like their leader always did.

They were to busy fighting over what bribes they should get to vote for Obama's POS healthcare bill.

Budget deficit when the Pelosi - Reid Congress took office in 2007: ~ $161 billion. Budget deficit when the Pelosi - Reid Congess got tossed in 2010: ~ $1.6 TRILLION. "Present" would be my guess.

No. They passed a stimulus bill that was working but ended too soon and was not big enough to overcome all the cuts in state spending. They passed the Affordable Care Act. Balancing the budget now would have lead us into a depression.

No. They had to deal with the republicans using a little thing called a filibuster a historic amount of times. If repugs would have given the democrats a chance, something effective would have gotten done. But, no... The repugs kept on filibustering until they were blue in the face. Get a reality check and see just how... More

They showed up and voted "present." Most of them will even admit they voted for Obama's policies without even reading them first (such as Obamacare).
