How can I convince my mum to let the family move to America?

England is boring. Truth be told. I know my family aren't happy here. But America should be the place we move to. We aren't making any plans to move anywhere, but how can I convince my mum to let us move there? My mum always said she'd move there one day. Any suggestions? (I know I asked this before but I need more suggestions) :)

Don't. America is possibly the most horrible country you could move to: trust us, we live here and it sucks. Move ANYWHERE else (except maybe some third-world places and China), but DON'T MOVE HERE! Our government is rediculously stupid and horrible so far, a lot of the voters don't seem to be a whole lot better, our... More

Keep telling your mum about the good things about it. But honestly, I live in, and have never been outside of the US. I think it's better to stay there, then to come here and not like it.

If you have been to the U.K. as I have then you know the U.S. is still the best place to live. U.K. would be second choice. America is the only country you can jump in your car and see snow or summer like weather. Remember your problems will sometimes fallow you were ever you go. Moving to a different country might not... I've never been outside the US, so I wouldn't be able to tell you if it is better or not, but I'll try and help you out (the US is awesome though, I don't really want to go anywhere else :P). Anyway, you can go at this in a few ways. You can just start tossing the idea around, like just randomly saying, "Ughh, this... More

Leah, let's think this through. How will you arrange housing before arriving in America? How will your parents e********y? They won't have jobs when they arrive here. Potential employers require references from prior employers before hiring someone. Your parents' references will be in England, not the U. S. Your... More
