What is the job called...?
Ok, so what would the career title for someone who does really massive, long studies on people be? For example, asking people to record all of the chemicals they come in contact with for a decade or so and then seeing which people end up with certain diseases? By the way, I don't mean a "medical scientist", someone who does lab-work and such. Thanks for the help! No, I don't quite mean a coroner...they just investigate why people died. I'm talking about recording what people do, eat, drink, etc. and if there are any correlations between that and certain diseases. Like how there are studies about how women who drink a certain amount of alcohol each week are at higher risk for breast cancer, for example.

There isn't a career title for this. A person physically writing down the information is usually a nurse, a research assistant, or a med student/resident/fellow... More
