Should the law allow victims of any crimes hired a private prosecutor?

Just like anybody can be victims. One problem with American Justice system is prosecutors is public office which from voters. So the judge too. But for defense it either public or private. Just wondering why not allowing victims to hired a private prosecutors to prosecute the suspects if victims aren't happy with how regular public prosecutors handle the cases. One thing about private prosecutor that hired by victims is the prosecutors can have more time and do better job prosecute the criminal guy and also better chance to prove him guilty in court of law. One problem with regular public office prosecutors is they have too many cases and sometimes don't have time they need to take every cases to trials.

The use of a private prosecutor was incorporated into the common law of Virginia and is still permitted there. Private prosecutors were also used in North Carolina as late as 1975.
