What the hell happened to movies?

I've been watching some older movies (Dr. Zhivago, Network, Apocalypse Now, etc.) and I'm really wondering, what the f**k happened to the quality of movies? Did writers stop coming up with ideas, a lack in inspiration writers, directors and so forth? Producers trying to pander to the changing audiences by regurgitating bullshit in a meat grinder?

In... More

If it's not about lame fart jokes or sex humor, then it doesn't appeal to 13-40 year olds. Hollywood has officially jumped the shark.
