Is it possible to become an excellent Project Manager within a week?

I work in an IT company and this Project Management job is new to me. Most of the projects are really alien to me. Please advise me what to do. Thanks..

Become a project manager is not easy but, you are bless because the management or the owner of the company trusted you. Just continue on learning new things, you may also want to consider attending seminars or training.

What type of project management do you practice? For Waterfall you can study to become a certified PMP. If its Agile you can try Mountain-ghoat's website

Yes it is possible . . just study the things that you don't know yet, so that you can be familiar to the tasks of your employees. If that so, you can share any ideas and can help to give a solution to the problems.

Yes, it is possible. You just need to know the team in the company for the assigning of tasks be easy. The rest of planning, execution of projects would just fall to its right place.
