i'm 16 years old and want to invest my money. what's the best way to do so?

hey i'm a 16 year old kid almost 17 and i want to make sure that my future in life is well set. so i would like to invest my money. i work 2 jobs so i already have a decent income but i want to live a easy life. i'm going to start investing with roughly 1000 dollars. i would like long term investment info as well as short term. thanks!

college is your best investments. just be smart at the time to choose a major. in the mean time i would open a CD account for 1 or 2 yrs lock. i don't know if e-trades or computershare would let you open an account since you're under 18

go talk to a well-known bank's banker and talk about opening a savings fund or other possibilities like having a stock at your age perhaps, the skies' the limit.

Since you cannot do anything without your parent then discuss it with them Opening a NO LOAD mutual fund account with a brokerage is your best bet

I wouldn't go in the stock market if I were you. A good risk-free way would be putting it in a bank.
