If women want to be able to have the same jobs as men then why do they get special gov. grants?

im in a cit (computer repair) class and there are few women and they get a 500 dollar grant for going into a male dominated job field what the hell

They're treated like minorities because they are often stereotyped. Blacks and other minority/oppressed groups often get the same treatment until they are established.
