Germany is a leading economic power of Europe, so I'm not sure how to consider your question.

Do you even know what you are you talking about? Germany is the economic power house of Europe and as for the USA whipping them into shape? I have never heard of this.

I would question your position that Germany did not recover from the war every bit as thoroughly as Japan. East Germany was something of a drag after the Berlin Wall fell, but Germany still has the strongest economy in Europe, and has had for most of the time since 1953.

I think you should take a few courses in geography, economics and history. Germany has at this moment the strongest economy of Europe. If it wasn't dragged down by dirt poor East and South European countries, it would even be stronger.

Germany is the economic superpower of Europe. They're so wealthy, that they are paying for almost every other European country's debts. So I wouldn't say they have any economic problems whatsoever.
