Multiple questions about becoming an actress.?

I am 12 years old and I really want to become an actress. My mom is really supportive, my dad not so much but he's not totally against it. I live in Indiana so i can get to Chicago for auditions but I want to do some plays and stuff before auditioning for anything. Do you have any tips on taking head shots/ building resumes? Also how to convince my dad but not like go behind his back or anything? Do not say I'm too young: I've heard it a million times. And I don't care one bit. Only post helpful things. Thanks. I also take professional acting classes, and I have a little experience with theater.

You are not too young to be an actress, you are too young to conduct the business of being an actress. You can't sign a contract until you are 18, your parent has to be at everything you do and build your career (resume) for you. Acting is a business and you have to be 18 or have a parent do the business for you... More

Your a little young , even though there like a million child stars . They came via a way different route, they already have connections. Its better to finish high school first . And then try your luck

You arn't too young, but if you have little to no experiance at all...who's going to take an interest in you? I hate to burst your bubble, but you havn't even done theatre, or anything like that. Do you think that the stars you see on TV just dive right into the buisness and get the auditions? When the staff sees your... More
