Can employer force one to speak foreign language?

I am fluent in Spanish however I am refusing to speak the language. I work as a Concierge which is a service business however rely heavily on tips. Spanish people don't tip and the more I help them the less I take home while my colleagues walk away with a good tips speaking only the English language. . Can an employer force me to speak a foreign language?

Your job is to help the customer. If the customer speaks Spanish and you refuse to, you aren't doing your job. Yes, your employer can tell you that speaking spanish is a part of your job and fire you for not doing your job.
