Would martial arts skills look good on a resume for private security jobs?

I don't wanna get into military or police, but want to increase my chances for a good security job, perhaps armed. u cant just join swat, u have to be a police officer for a number of yrs what of you need to subdue someone unruly, have you thought about that? if you are in a bar or a restaurant

Why dont you just join a swat team in a large city like LA, or NY or if you're good enough get on the FBI's swat team if you dont want to join the military. You would be an expert on guns, explosives, breeching, etc. You just cant teach those skills without actually doing it for a living for a while.

not really, security guards aren't suppose to confront anyone, they're there to observe and report only.

It probably would not make much of a difference really. But it definitely wont hurt if you already have the skills. You really not be doing much as a security guard that is too much hands on unless you are a bouncer or anything of the like.

Most places would see that as a negative. They would be afraid that you would be overly confrontational. Security guards are supposed to observe and report, not subdue people.
