Are there any banks that offer checking accounts to teens?!?
I live an Atlanta, GA and I wish to open up a checking account, but avoid the minimum balances and fees. Are there any banks that you recommend? I've tried Wells Fargo, but they have a $100.00 minimum opening deposit fee. (I'm 14 by the way.)

Most banks do have a minimum deposit fee. Also, if you are under 18, you MUST have a parent or guardian on the account with you, since you technically are not legally allowed to sign any contracts until you are 18. Charlie: Check on the net for local banks or savings & loan probably by zip code. Then check out their web sites for the accounts, fees, minimum deposit. The minimum balance, fees, etc are the same regardless of your age, and EVERY bank has several account options available. MOST banks have some form of 'free' account available... More

Most do by 16 with parent co-sign and such. For 14 idk but Chase and other banks (and credit unions) should :)
