Why does America strive to help other countries?

America is always helping other countries but its own society is going down the crapper... I mean really it is not a good system. For example they r giving those green laptops to children in Africa. I understand that helps them but how about giving 25billion people their jobs back?

America is NEVER helping other countries UNLESS America has an AGENDA and can get something out of that country somehow!

theres a few good reasons why we help out other countrys. one reason we help out countries is because we want to have a better relationship with that country and that one day they may help us. anothor reason is so we look good.

Because America is considered to be a giving country so America will lend money to other countries but the other countries won't pay back america and America is a free country so they are not supposed to ask for the money that they gave to the other countries

So they can help us. When you have hundreds of nations in the world it is not smart to isolate yourself. Some are crazy and threaten nuclear warfare just for the fun of it every once in a while . Others have good resources to trade. It is not smart not to build allies in this kind of environment.
