How did world war 2 pull the world out of the great depression?
I understand the fact that it gave people jobs, is there anything more than that? I need to write a 5 page research paper. The opposing argument is that the monetary system pulled us out of the depression. Sources would be awesome =) It doesn't need to be specific, something like 1. Created jobs 2. Did this 3. Did this just arguments to help me narrow down what i should research

It is closely similar to the situation today. One has to wonder if monetary policy worked, then why didn't it? When money is sequestered away in the private holdings of rich people, or if their greed and over optimism has led to a great stock market collapse, there is not enough money around to oil the economic wheels...
