Is there a law that requires jobs in which the employee must purchase his own tools to be payed double?
I am a automotive technician and I heard that if your an employee at a job where the employer requires you to buy your own tools you are supposed to be paid double minimum wage. I have to buy my own tools and they are very expensive. Is this a real law? And if so, what is it called?

There is no such law. Your tools can be deducted as business expenses on your taxes.
