h*********u managing your money with the rising cost of gas?
Every morning I go to work it seems as if the price of gas goes up three to four cents. It is now $3.40 a gallon and I am sure it will continue to rise. I live in a suburb of Phoenix and the public transportation is poor. My job also requires me to use my own car three to four times a week with gas reimbursement. I have tried everything it seems like. From little to no driving on weekends, purchasing food boxes at the food bank, no cable, but it seems to get worse. What is everyone else doing to manage.

Considering that just a this past summer, it was up over $4.20 a gallon for awhile, $3.40 isn't all that awful by comparison. That aside... I bought a car that gets decent mileage. I only fill up twice a month unless I have to go somewhere out of town.

In NY we pay a lot more. Not a problem since I don't live paycheck to paycheck

you said you get "gas reimbursement" so that means you'd have to save up for gas only once and then use that as a continuing fund..after the first time this occurs you then use what you were reimbursed with. Gas has been a lot more expensive than it is now so that's why everyone asks for raises, pulls in their belt... More
