Why don't one of the Koch brothers run for the presidency ?

Their both extremely successful multi-billionaires, they made their money in the free market, creating energy jobs, both of them are Christians, don't we need real capitalists like the koch brothers in the white house?

They don't need the hassles of campaigning, the ginning up of misinformation. They can just hold fundraisers for their corporate buddies and politicians already purchased at their mansion on Palm Beach, like they just did for Mitt Romney. If you can pull the strings, why be a puppet?

Hell, I wouldn't run for presidency with that much money, I'd buy it.

since they send money to both parties, i'd say they aren't partisan enough to run

They don't need to do the real work when they can BUY a politician to do their bidding.

I don't really understand why any self respecting successful person would want to run for that job. With the public scrutiny, the misinformation, the smear campaigns, the outright lies and hate focused on them, regardless how true their intentions, is just ridiculous.

They already did, under the guise of 'Pizza Man', google it. It's true. Why buy off a president when you can just run one of your junior partners?

You can start a drive to draft them to run

It would take too much time away from their money-making activities. They did not make their money in a free market. They made their money in what they call a free market. There is a big difference... More

The Koch brothers are responsible for polluting a great deal of the midwest. Some current earthquakes that have occurred in local states have come from "tracking" a new type of mining that is very dirty and unhealthy. The Koch's yield use power with the Tea Party of which they are the main sponsors. The point is... More

They have puppets for that.

Because people like the Kochs don't believe in democracy; they wouldn't want people with nothing more than 18 years of age and American citizenship passing judgment on them.

As some of the richest men in US, and one has tried and failed at his attempt, they altered their goal and decided to just BUY POLITICIANS, like Scott Walker / WI, Sam Brownback / KS. Go the the AFP website and yes the AFP is a Koch funded enterprise and see their scorecard on who they have already purchased. Last... More

because if the republicans get in, they will be running they country anyway without having to disclose net worth, income tax returns, or their dirty deeds.

Then they would have to release how they got the money, and what they did to help, (or hinder) the free market economy.
Answered By: Ed - 1/23/2012
They will never run because they would come under intense scrutiny into their questionable business practices. Romney and Bain Capital would seem like amateurs. Running a country is not the same as running a business.

I believe the correct way to phrase that question would be "Why DOESN'T one of the Koch brothers run for the Presidency?'"

Do not need them,it would be like selling your soul to the devil, they are not what they appear to be and if they were as honest as to what they do,they would not have the reputation that they cary with them.I would not vote for them and if by chance one did win,I would plan to move out of the US.till they had no hold...
