How do I upload mini DV recordings to a computer with no firewire input?

I have a Panasonic mini DV camcorder. It has a mini USB output; but apparently that is only for using it as a webcam. The only output for loading videos from tape onto a computer is a firewire jack. How do I upload videos onto a computer that doesn't have a firewire input?

Palladin is right - but incomplete. You *could* connect the camcorder's analog AV-out port to an "analog/digital converter" like those from Elgato or Canopus. Video quality will not be as good as using a firewire connection, but it gets the job done... More

Simple, be it a Tower or Laptop, they make cards you can install in your case or expansion port that give you an IEEE1394 port (firewire). They can be had for probably a bit less than $50 US, get one, get the proper firewire cord to hook it up and then get a NLE that has a good video import system.
