What jobs out there are related to assisting those with mental disabilities?

My friend really wants to work with those who have mental disabilities as a therapist or an aide. She would like to work at a care center where she could assist and keep them company day by day. Could anyone tell me the job titles and requirements, please? If possible, she prefers a high school diploma as a minimum requirement. Thank you!

Most jobs will require your friend to do more study to gain the relevant qualifications needed. The qualifications can vary from country to country. In most cases there would be at lest a 2-6 year course, earning either a diploma, degree, masters degree etc... More

Direct Support Provider/Professional (DSP)!!!! For most companies, all you need is a HS diploma and a clean background check.

start out by going to a center for the disabled and work there as a respet worker or HAB. which is someone who watches people who can't take care of themselves or HAB people train other to live independently. Hab workers only need to take a few classes to train and start at $13.40 an hour so it's a good place to start.

try a geriatrics center for a start, but my advice to her is to take a 'c.n.a' course at the local collage, my sister worked at one for years and liked the work,
