Do mechanical engineers work with their hands?

I want a job working with my hands, building engines, something like that. I read mechanical engineers do mostly sketches of things, which is not what I would want to do. If they do not, what is an engineering job where I would work with my hands? Also, I speak Spanish and English, should I learn another language, and if so, which one? O yeah, I forgot, I would like to be working in the aviation field, like engines for planes, helicopters, jets. Also maybe like missile systems, but I don't know anything about that.

Depending on the job description, engineers do many things other than just sketching. You could get your degree then get a job in production, inspection, testing, or field trouble shooting and spend most of your time away from your desk.
