would this sentence be inference or pragmatics (implied meaning)?

I have a monologue where a man accidentally kills (knocks them down while driving) a person on the way home from being fired from his job. But the last sentence is: "I don’t know what scares me more, that fact that I just killed somebody or how well and efficiently I dealt with the entire situation…" I know that implied meaning within context is pragmatics, but how would I word and comment on this particular sentence in a essay style question? the meaning of the last sentence has a implied (uses a pragmatic device?) to imply that the character may have enjoyed, liked what he had stumbled upon. This therefor adds the mystery of the piece. The use of stage directions also help to convey this as they show the character becoming calm when saying this sentence, for example, '[John becomes relaxed and calm, as does his tone]' this adds to the point as during the rest of the confession the character has a tone of frantic panic but during the last parts he becomes calm, when admitting that he may have liked it. Would this be a good essay style analysis of this last sentence? or is it inference? many thanks, nate.

"I don’t know what scares me more, that fact that I just killed somebody or how well and efficiently I dealt with the entire situation…" This doesn't tell me that he enjoyed it. It sounds more like relief that he was able to cope with it.
