Are there any armies in history so feared that it caused demoralization to their enemies just by seeing them?

Eg the greek spartans (or atleast i think the spartans), just wondering if there were any else?

The United States. In 1991, we struck so much fear and demoralization in the Iraqi Army that they were surrending in the tens of thousands. There was even an instance of an entire division surrendering to a US helo.

look at the Devil Dogs of WW-2.. thousands committed suicide rather then be captured by the USMC.. The japs were told if they surrendered they would be eaten alive by the Marines.
