I need advice/help on my first car purchase (mazda 3)?
I plan on purchasing a new car soon and the mazda 3 (i touring or i grand touring) caught my eye. Nice body styling, fun to drive, good mpg (29/40) and the ability to drive auto/manual sorta. I hold a decent job and have a good credit score 700+. The MSRP for the models I am looking for are around $22,000. This is where I'm confused now. Do I just go to a dealership and look around till I find a car with the specs I want? I've heard that if you're actually paying MSRP for a car then you're getting swindled; you should be paying lower. And how exactly does APR and financing work out with the down payment. First time I'm actually buying a new car. Any advice or comments would be greatly appreciated!! Oh and I reside in Orange County, CA if that helps. Thanks!!
