Where will the Protestants go , if we loose the USA to the Catholics?

Mexico , South America, Central America, and Quebec are all Catholic. That is OK cause Catholics are Christians. But in the USA there is an influx of Catholics from Mexico legal and illegal. There are no Protestants on the Supreme Court, which only has Catholics and Jews. The Protestants could move North to Canada, but is that not under Britain? Most Catholic countries are poor. We need to pay the debt and balance the US budget. So we need elements that produce wealth and jobs. Santorum and Gingrich are both Catholic. Some Republicans want to make Marcus Rubio , another Catholic ,the Vice President. In Europe the Catholics and Protestants were adversaries. Even till recently in Ireland there was war between the Protestants and Catholics. Not that Catholics are not good people. They are. But the point is we need to have balance. Like it or not, it was the Protestants who brought freedom etc to America and established it here and for the rest of the world. Not that the Protestants are perfect or anything like that. The only Protestants running are Ron Paul a Baptist and Romney , a Mormon . Neither of these has allegiance to someone outside of the Republic of these United States. So I think Protestants need to look more seriously at their GOP Presidential choices or other choices. They need to vote Protestant. And next time Protestants need to run more Protestants for Congress and other positions. Wake up Protestants. One third of all US Catholics vote GOP. Two thirds of US Catholics vote Democrat.

If you said we had a black president and if we had a black Supreme Court you will be flogged for being racist. What's the difference. Did you forget that Nancy Pelosi and a great deal of Liberal Democrats in Congress? There are Catholics, Protestants and Jews. Many live according to their faith and many are simply... More

Why do they have to go anywhere? We have freedom of religion here. Politicians are politicians.

I remember this same argument being made, when JFK was running for President... I guess the biggest difference is, JFK, didn't bring up all the radical views, the Republicans, & a few Catholic Cardinals are today... It serenely seems to me, this election cycle, the Republicans, are doing everything in there power... More

The protestants will be fine. If anyone understands the importance of religious freedom it is Catholics. Maryland was founded by Catholics seeking refuge from persecution by Protestants. Any way your reasoning about allegiance to the pope thing is ridiculous. People said the same thing about Kennedy and guess what... More
