How much can you make with 2 year associates in accounting?

I live here in CA and am looking for a career change. I don't have time to get a bachelors as i'm almost 28 years old. I need to learn a skill and start making money quick. Some people say that it's not worth it to work as accuontant with associates cuz pay is lousy compared to bachelors, but are in demand. Any accoutants here that could give me advice is greatly appreciated.

You may start out at the bottom. But... you work your way up with a whole heck of determination. Just land a job with a large accounting firm so you have opportunity to progress.

I think you could get more than 30K then move up to better pay if you are good. You wont be able to get a job at a big 4 accounting firm with only an assosiates so keep that in mind. If you find the right place you can make some good money but a bachelors would give you a lot better chance.

Associates degrees are barely above high school level , so dont expect to get hired into the big league. Best way to make money is to learn the trade, and start your own business, but keep learning.
