Is it better to take a car for repair at the dealer?
My car is sputtering when I accelerate and acts like its going to cut off. The engine light came on. Should I take it the dealer or regular repair garage. (its not a new car.10 yrs)

YOU will pay a lot more money at a dealer than you ever will at your local corner mechanic shop Dealers routinely inflate the bill in order to get as much as they can out of a repair.

The dealer will do good work but charge you an arm and a leg. A regular garage, well it all depends on where you go.

or you can go to auto zone , o'reilly they would check your check engine light for free and if its something simple like a miss fire or o2 sensor i would recommend local repair shop if its something major the dealer it would run you about the same and the warranty is much better.
