What Type Of Oscilloscope Is Good For A Beginner?(What Type, Specs, Ranges, Features, Ect Should I Look For)?

What is a good type of Oscilloscope to look for, with someone that is still new to electronics repair? I have seen a bunch online, at some good prices, but I don't yet know what to look for in a good Oscilloscope. What type of specs should it have? What things should it be able to test? At what ranges should it be able to test? Basically, what should I look for when buying an Oscilloscope? And I am looking for one that is fair priced, around $100 and less. Just something basic that will do the job, but not one with a billion different features either, because those costs $1000+. Any advice? Oh, and I would want a scope that has test leads that are easy to buy. Some of the scopes that I have seen online that are cheaper, have test leads that are not all that easy to find. Or they cost so much that they are not worth buying that brand of scope in the first place. And I have read that any Tektronix, 100MHz are a great buy, but Ebay has so many to choose from, that I don't know which one would be best for my needs.

Digital scopes aren't necessarily better for electronics repair. I would agee that a Tektronix 100MHz scope would be an excellent... More

It all depends on what frequencies you will be working in. Rule of thumb, the higher the frequency the more expensive it will be.
