Few questions about enlisting in Marines?

Already posted this on here..just wanted to get more outside opinions to help me out. So, for awhile now I've had the thought of the military in the back of my mind. I took a different route, however, by continuing my education into college at UMass Amherst. My goal has been to transition into majoring in chemical engineering and get my degree hopefully in 5 years. The thing is, I know I'm a smart kid..but I question if I'm smart enough to be a chem eng major. I'm a physics major right now but I'm not nearly as smart as that may imply. I'm great with calculus and such but I have a lot to learn. Any way, my older brother just graduated from Marine boot camp yesterday. I had the opportunity to fly out and watch..I was flat out amazed and so proud. The amount of discipline and pure character was insane. And from all of the stories my brother told me..I just love the sound of it. I'm already in great shape, hit the gym 5 days a week and can run distance like nothing. Long story short, I guess I'm tossing around whether this would be a good idea or not. Do you think I'd be throwing away better opportunities by leaving college to enlist? I'm only a freshman by the way. Is there any chance I could perhaps finish up my degree later on? Thanks for any insight and advice you can provide for me.
