Is the US filled with crazy people?

I live in the US. I was born in the US. I don't watch TV anymore. I simply cannot handle it. I do my best to find decent news sources, because I cannot bring myself to shut out the whole world, quite yet. But I have to ask: is everyone insane? How are any of these politicians even elected? Every one is either incompetent, fanatical, dishonest to a sickening degree, or some awful combination of the three. I want to blame them for being in power, but I cannot. They had the power handed to them. But how is that even possible? Do they really represent the majority of US voters? Is this what we want? Worse, how have these partisan pundits and demagogues risen to such power? Why does the nation allow itself to be controlled by these people? I do not understand.

You don't watch the news but you know that "every one is either incompetent, fanatical, dishonest to a sickening degree, or some awful combination of the three". You sound ignorant and bigoted. Leave talk about politics to people who understand it son, clearly you don't.

If you think everyone else around you is crazy, there could be a chance that they're all normal, and you're the one who's crazy.

The entire world is filled with crazy people. TV isn't necessarily the best source for reliable information. Not everyone is insane, but most are.
