How are medical officers treated in the navy?

How are they treated differently from regular line officers?

They have to treat the sick.

Medical officers are passed around like currency in the navy. And they are always what you would call "bottoms" or "little spoons."

They are treated like professionals. Like doctors. They work in Hospitals on shore and they head Medical on ships.
